From the East
Take Interstate 40 all the way across to the Marion, Hwy 226 exit (Exit #86). Turn RIGHT off the exit ramp and follow 226 past Marion. Turn LEFT onto Hwy 70 (big intersection with a traffic light and a Wal-Mart). Go 1.5 miles. Turn RIGHT on Hwy 80. This is a long, winding road up the mountain. At the top of the mountain, you'll go under the Blue Ridge Parkway. Stay on Hwy 80 for 7.8 miles past the Parkway. Turn RIGHT on Seven Mile Ridge Road. The inn will be immediately on the LEFT — a big, dark frame building with pink trim and NO SIGN.

From the South (including the Asheville airport)
Go NORTH on Interstate 26 West, following signs for Asheville. Go EAST on I-240 towards Asheville. I-240 will merge with several left lanes at a big bridge; get in the left-most lane as you cross the bridge, in order to exit LEFT onto I-26 W (Hwy 19/23) NORTH. Signs are marked for Weaverville. Take I-26 W past Weaverville and Mars Hill. A couple of miles beyond Mars Hill, take Exit # 9 and turn RIGHT on Hwy 19. This will take you through the countryside and past Burnsville (which you'll see as a handful of traffic lights). 3 or 4 miles past Burnsville, turn RIGHT on Hwy 80 S. Go down the hill, and turn RIGHT on Hwy 80 again. Go 6.5 miles. Turn LEFT on Seven Mile Ridge Road. The inn will be immediately on the LEFT — a big, dark frame building with pink trim and NO SIGN.

From the Charlotte airport
Exit Charlotte-Douglas Intl. Airport via Josh Birmingham Pkwy to Billy Graham Pkwy N. Follow Billy Graham Pkwy to I-85, take I-85 S from right lane. Alternatively (from remote parking or rental car return), exit the airport via Little Rock Rd to I-85 S.
Once on I-85 S proceed to Gastonia. Take Exit 17 and turn LEFT on 321 North. Follow 321 to I-40 West (Exit 43B). Once on I-40 West, follow directions above for 'From the East.'

From Asheville
Go NORTH out of the city on I-26 W (Hwy 19/23) NORTH. Continue on I-26 W past Weaverville and Mars Hill. A couple of miles after Mars Hill, take Exit # 9, and turn right on Hwy 19. This will take you through the countryside and past Burnsville (which you'll see as a handful of traffic lights). 3 or 4 miles past Burnsville, turn RIGHT on Hwy 80 S. Go down the hill, and turn RIGHT on Hwy 80 again. Go 6.5 miles. Turn LEFT on Seven Mile Ridge Road. The inn will be immediately on the LEFT — a big, dark frame building with pink trim and NO SIGN. OR Take the Blue Ridge Parkway from the east side of town.*  Go NORTH past Craggy Gardens and Mount Mitchell. Follow directions below. This will add about 30 minutes to the drive but offers magnificent views on a clear day.

From I-81 (Virginia and points north)
Follow I-81 south into Tennessee. Take Exit 57A toward Johnson City. That's I-26/S 23. Follow this into North Carolina, then take Exit 9, Hwy 19 N. This is the exit for Burnsville and Spruce Pine. This will take you through the countryside and past Burnsville (which you'll see as a handful of traffic lights). 3 or 4 miles past Burnsville, turn RIGHT on Hwy 80 S. Go down the hill, and turn RIGHT on Hwy 80 again. Go 6.5 miles. Turn LEFT on Seven Mile Ridge Road. The inn will be immediately on the LEFT — a big, dark frame building with pink trim and NO SIGN.

From the Blue Ridge Parkway*
Exit at Buck Creek Gap, Milepost 344, the interchange with Hwy 80. Go North on Hwy 80 for 7.8 miles. Turn RIGHT on Seven Mile Ridge Road. The inn will be immediately on the LEFT — a big, dark frame building with pink trim and NO SIGN.
